Hard as rocks

Hard as Rocks

Kits: 32. Hometown: Bessemer City, NC. Heard about us: Battle buddy. Duties: Train/Advise/Assist. Current pads: Stock rock. Comments: The pads that come with our CIF issue hurt the scalp, cause headaches and never form to our heads! Because of the stiffness of the pads, the helmets sit high on most heads! SSgt, US Marines

Kits: 40. Hometown: Lynn, Massachusetts. Heard about us: Battle Buddy. Current pads: Standard CIF issue light blue pads. Comments: The pads are not form fitting and can cause the helmet to fit improperly on the Marines wearing them. During early morning operations or in colder weather they are hard as rocks. Sgt, US Marines

Kits: 3. Hometown: Opelika. Heard about us: friend. Current pads: PAD, HELMET, ADVANCED COMBAT SIZE SPM1C1-12-D-B014 3/4″ NSN 8470-01-546-9415 9U425 LOT TW2426-3. Comments: Hard as a rock. Freeze easily. Do not soften. Lance Corporal, US Marines

Kits: 40. Hometown: DesMoines, IA. Heard about us: Battle Buddy. Current pads: Grey, Glued seam. Comments: The current issued pads are uncomfortable and prevent the Marines from wearing their helmets for a long period of time. Often times the pads will change sizes with temperature change. The Marines would greatly benefit from a higher quality helmet pad. 2ndLt, US Marines

Kits: 42. Hometown: Long Island, NY. Heard about us: Friend. Current pads: Gray pads with glued seams. The texture is very stiff.. Comments: The current GI pads are causing discomfort for the Marines especially when being worn for prolonged periods of time. Due to the fact that we will be conducting security operations, we will be wearing our kevlar for extended periods during this upcoming deployment and I believe the added comfort and fit will help deter my Marines from being distracted and keep them focused on the mission. 2ndLt, US Marines

Kits: 15. Duties: Current pads: Standard IIF issued. Comments: Uncomfortable and wear to quickly. Sgt, US Marines
