improve operational effectiveness

Improve operational effectiveness.

Kits: 10. Hometown: St. Louis, Missouri. Heard about us: JTF Unit. Duties: Assault Landing Zone operations. Current Pads: USGI standard green bricks. Comments: We are a small team tasked with forward operations which necessitates wear of typical combat kit that the AF largely does not field. As such, the needs of the small unit airmen go unnoticed and under served more often than not with most of us spending considerable amounts of our own money to purchase gear. If each team member can save that $30 cost of upgrading helmet pads thanks to Operation Helmet donations, that is another $30 he can spend upgrading other parts of his kit to improve operational effectiveness. Thank you for what you are doing to support the efforts of those continuing to go downrange. SSgt, USAF
