The pads turn to stone in the cold

Kits: 30. Duties: Infantry. Current Pads: Issued. Comments: Issued pads increase possibility of head ache and more importantly brain injury in the event of fragmentation striking the surface of the Kevlar helmet. These pads help reduce that possibility. 2ndLT, USMC

Kits: 35. Hometown: Cleveland, OH. Heard about us: Adjacent platoon commander and friend. Duties: Infantry and stability ops. Current Pads: They are pale green PASGT pads. Comments: They are uncomfortable and don’t fit correctly. They also retain sweat. 2ndLt, USMC

Kits: 10. Hometown: Norwood. Heard about us: Friend in other unit. Duties: Sniper Assistant Team Leader. Current Pads: Issued gray, rock hard ones. Comments: Where do we start? The pads turn to stone in the cold, lose any spinginess once you sweat in them, and just cant fit your head properly whatsoever. Need more comfortable pads so when you sit in a hide for 72 hrs you don’t get a headache from the pressure points. Lcpl, USMC
